Privacy Policy
Overview
This policy explains how AI Resume Builder (ResumeAI), by Apexx Apps, handles information when you build resumes and cover letters (manual, Quick, or Detailed AI), enhance or align existing documents, use Career Coach (including upload/scan import), export files, and buy credits or Premium.
Information we collect
Content you enter or import (contact details, experience, education, skills, job descriptions, photos/signatures). Text extracted on-device from PDF, JPG, DOCX, or document-scan images you choose for Career Coach or Enhance. Account info if you sign in with Google (email, display name). Lightweight usage stats for your dashboard (resumes created, AI uses, exports). Purchase and credit balance status when you buy credits or Premium through Google Play.
How we use it
To save and show your documents; render previews; run AI features you request (Quick/Detailed resume generation, cover letters, rewrite, enhancement/align, ATS suggestions, job match, interview prep, import resume align, length-fit refine); export PDF/JPG/DOCX; authenticate your account; and manage credits or Premium you purchased.
AI processing
When you run an AI feature, relevant text (and layout/style instructions for the template you chose) is sent to our backend, which calls our AI provider to return suggestions. Layout-aware generate or enhance may send a second refine request if length fitting needs it. We do not use your content to train models and do not sell it for advertising.
Camera, photos, and document scan
Camera or gallery access is for a photo or signature you attach, or for document pages you scan for Career Coach / Enhance. Scan images are processed on-device for text extraction; they stay on your device unless you export or share a document that includes them.
Storage and security
Resume and cover-letter data are stored locally on your device. They are not cloud-synced and do not restore when you sign back in. Sign-in uses Firebase Authentication. Credit balance for signed-in accounts may sync from our backend. Data in transit to our backend uses HTTPS.
Retention
Local documents remain until you delete them, clear app data, or log out. Logging out clears saved resumes and cover letters from this device; they do not restore when you sign back in. Credits for Google accounts sync from our backend on login. Guest-session data may be lost permanently on logout or reinstall. Session-only import text may be discarded when you leave that flow without saving. AI request payloads are processed to fulfill your request and are not kept as a marketing profile. Account records needed for sign-in and purchases follow Firebase and Google Play policies.
Export and sharing
If you export or share a PDF, JPG, or DOCX, that file leaves the app under your control (Downloads, Documents, email, other apps). Saving an export may use credits. We cannot recall files you already shared.
Credits and Premium
We store your credit balance and Premium status on device (and sync with Google Play purchase verification when applicable) so we can gate AI and export actions. Premium includes a monthly credit allotment for AI at the same rates shown in-app; PDF/JPG/DOCX export remains free while Premium is active. See the in-app Terms of Service for current credit amounts.
Third-party services
Firebase / Google Sign-In for authentication. Our backend and AI provider for generation and refine. On-device ML Kit document scanning when you choose Scan. Google Play Billing for credits and subscriptions. Each provider has its own privacy policy.
Your choices
Delete resumes, cover letters, or sections in the app anytime. Export PDF, JPG, or DOCX before logging out if you need copies elsewhere. Decline camera/scan permissions (those features will not work). Log out from Settings to clear the active device session. To request account-related deletion beyond device data, email the contact below.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information so we can remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Significant changes will be noted in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
